Rúmil is a unisex, versatile cowl pattern featuring a clever geometric pattern. It is part of the Haldir collection, which features a hat, cowl and pair of fingerless mitts. The name of the pattern comes from a character from the Lord of the Rings.

This cowl comes in one size. It’s finished measurements are a circumference of about 22 inches or 55 cm and a height of about 9 inches or 23 cm.

You’ll need approximately 65 grams of fingering weight yarn in 2 contrasting colours: 40 grams of MC and 25 grams of CC.
Yarn used in sample is Tukuwool Fingering (75% Finnsheep and 25% Texelin, 213 yards or 195 meters per 50 grams) in colourways Raku (MC) and Uupo (CC). Kits are available in my webshop.

Other materials required are needles for working small circumferences in the round (gauge size needles and needles that are 1 size smaller), at least 1 stitch marker, and a tapestry needle.

This pattern contains 3 pages. Basic instructions are 1 page and then there is 1 page for charts.
