Het Wolbeest Basis Sok is a semi-solid sock yarn hand dyed with acid dyes in The Netherlands. Basis Sok is Dutch for Basic Sock. It is a very nice, resilient sock yarn. This yarn is lovely to work with and it is suitable for lots of different projects such as socks, mittens, mits, sweaters etc.
This yarn is noticeably less soft than the other 2 yarn bases by Het Wolbeest I have on offer here (BFL sok and Super Sok) and might be a bit less suitable to use for items that are worn close to sensitive skin, like for instance near the neck or face.
75% Wool, 25% Nylon
100 gram / 420 meter
Recommended needles: 2.25-3 mm
Gauge: 32 stitches is 10 cm
Care instructions: Machine wash wool cycle 30°C
