Tukuwool Fingering

Tukuwool Fingering

Tukuwool Fingering is light and airy yet rustic. This 2-ply yarn has quite tight and lively twist, though the fabric becomes even and smooth after washing.

Fingering works well with different gauges and textures and is made for colorwork. We have chosen colors that are ageless without forgetting the beautiful greys and browns.

The yarn is non-superwash yet easy to care. Finnish wool is soil-repellent so there is no need for washing your hand knit too often. The best way to freshen up your knitwear is to take them out for airing. Give the knitted garment a cold handwash with wool detergent for beautiful finish after knitting and when needed.

Origin

Tukuwool was born from the love for wool. Also from the passion to create something new and unique. The creator of the yarn, Pauliina Hurme, wanted to give the world  a pure Finnish yarn – raised, spun and dyed in Finland.

The yarn is spun in Mikkeli and dyed in Hämeenkyrö. 100% Finnish wool is the soul of the yarn: a blend of Finnsheep and Finnsheep-Texel crossbreed.
